I've been exploring lift options from shock spacers, to springs, to 5100s... So many options but so few that meet the under 2" lift category. Spacers seem to be the cheapest but I will only get around 3/4" lift max out of them unless I jump to 2"+ kits. 5100s are a good option but I will have to pre-load my springs much more than I'd like. And I dont really want to spend $500+ on a full OME kit with shocks just to eek out 1.25" lift.

I am leaning toward purchasing OME springs to place on my OE Shocks. I have a Prerunner DCSB so I am hoping that OME 884 springs will put me at the right height. I know the 883s are listed at 1.5" but I don't believe that is rated for DC Tacomas.

However I don't really know what is worse... OME 884s on Factory shocks or Pre-loading factory springs to 1.5" on 5100s.

Just looking for some advice on how to achieve 1.25" lift to level off the truck to near TSB height.

Over two weeks and nobody has chimed in....I'm in the same boat except I would like to upgrade my shocks at the same time. Don't want to truly lift the truck I just want the front to sit level. I'm thinking 884's are going to be the answer.
I'd hate to spend the money on springs that fall short of leveling the front out....that would be my worry with the 883's...
