Hello all, I am considering upgrading my suspension with OME front and back. Ultimately I would like to do a ARB front bumper and Body Armor rear bumper, but I think the best first move is suspension.

My question for now, however, is how does a mild lift affect MPG's if I stay with the factory tire size? I drive about 25K miles per year and at 18 average MPG I feel the pinch as is.

I know ultimately adding armor will decrease the mileage, but by the time I add the armor I don't plan on living in the urban jungle anymore.

i did a 2inch lift all around and one size bigger tire (265/75R16's) and only lost like .5-1mpg

Just pay attention to tire weight that plays a big role.

A small lift with stock tires will have minimal effect on MPGs. it is the tire size increase and tire weight increase that really hurts MPGs.

Good to know, thanks folks. I have another 10K or so on the factory Dunflops, but I'm planning on going with Michelin MTX's in the P245- whatever it is for a SR5 4x4.

I was going to wait awhile for suspension, but that DAMN leaf squeak.

When I opened my leaf pack for the AAL install I sprayed fluid film between all the leafs to prevent the squeak. So far so good.
