I'm pretty well set on ordering a complete OME suspension system. I just bought a V6 04 DC TRD 4X4, everything on the truck is stock currently and the suspension is completely shot as it's all original.

What I'm wanting, is a level truck. I don't care about running larger tires, or having a 3" lift or anything like that, I just want the truck to ride like it should and not sway and bounce like crazy every time I hit a bump on the road. I don't plan on adding an aftermarket front or back bumper or any other form of extra weight to the truck.

With that, what coils should I go with 881 or 883? What company should I order from, wheelers, cruiser outfitters, 4wheel parts (I can pick up the kit in store in Nashville to save on shipping) or someone else? What additional items should I order considering my truck is relatively corroded and there's a high likelihood the bolts are seized on the rear leafs? Do I need a diff drop with the OME kit? Any other information/advice I need?

I've read through the gen 1 OME thread, but I'm still a little lost as you can see. Appreciate the help.

The 883 coils will give you about 2.25-2-5" of lift up front. Do you want the vehicle to sit level or with a factory rake to it?
If you have a lot of rusted stuff, you may want to get new Main-Eye Bolts, as those are pretty common to have so rusted up they will have to be cut out.

Dan, thanks. I want the truck level, no rake preferrably. Is that possible with the OME kit or will the OME kit be higher in the back? Will I need a diff drop with the OME kit?

I just spoke with 4wheel parts over the phone and their kit while cheaper for me due to shipping, doesn't come with what all your kit from Wheelers does, so I won't be going that route. By the time I got everything you all offer, it'd be even, or cost more from what I understood.

You could remove a leaf from the Dakar pack to bring it down some, or you could go with our 5 leaf pack instead of the OME pack. Either way would work well.

Diff Drop is not required. Some people like to install them, some don't. Just personal preference.

Yeah, we have pretty good prices, and customer support. The shipping can be a bit painful sometimes, but we just can't get around that part of it.

How difficult is removing a leaf? I have zero experience with suspension work, but looking forward to the baptism by fire.

You need some big C-Clamps, or I prefer the C-Clamp Vise-Grips. They will allow you to hold the pack together to remove the center pin, and remove one of the overload leafs.

OK, what would the rake be if I left the leafs alone? 1.5".
