I am looking into replacing my current suspension set up (5100s with 887 coils and 5160s with an Icon AAL.) with the OME suspension package 886s up front but I can decided on if I want the 90000 (Firm) or 90021 (Soft) strut. Along with the dakar leaf pack in the rear with the AAL. So my question is Soft or FIRM struts. I do not have a bumper yet but will be getting one eventually.

I don't think they make the 90000 anymore.

I think I'd go soft. I'm thinking about a suspension upgrade too. Why are you moving from the 5100s to OME? I've had the OME 884s and Softride struts in my sites for a while now...

Main reason is the dakar leaf pack in the rear. I am only getting 1.5 inchs of lift in the rear with the icon aal and it's too soft due to removing the overload for it. So I figured I buy the kit but i'm not sure yet.

No overload is only 10% loss of strength.

    What are you carrying?

I went from 5100s and a 3 leaf AAL to full OME and am not disappointed. Wish I'd done it the first time.

I'm running 90021 and 884X in front and love the ride, FWIW.

Right now nothing if I put a cooler in the back my truck turns into a pre runner lol. Eventually I plan on buying a topper and rear plate bumper.

Here's my truck with shell. My front lift height is equivalent to a taller 885/886.. about 2.5-2.75.

Nice looking truck. You have the full Dakkar pack in the back? Does it ride rougher than stock?

Firmer, for sure.. but freeway ride is awesome. Around town, a rough road will feel like a rough road.

Anything aftermarket won't ride like stock, stock is incredibly soft and car like which is nice around town but sucks for truck use.

AAL is an extra piece. I'm running the full pack, unmodified, without an additional AAL.

20% on front. Rear is stock.

Anything under 85% is illegal in CA, by the books. But enforcement is different. No problems with 20% for me on last 3 vehicles.

Nice, I'm going to be moving out there next year so I had been worried about the eventual move and putting tint on there. I'm in Bama and no one cares here lol
