Does anybody out there have experience with both that could offer feedback? Are the Nitrochargers really worth the extra $200 for a set of four? What is the ride quality difference?

My new rear leaf pack is expected to provide 2" of lift. The rear OME's will offer an additional inch of extension with the same collapsed length. From what I am reading, 2" is right at the limit of the 5100 but should be doable.

I've searched 72 pages of threads on TW and still looking for that silver bullet to help me pull the trigger on 4 shocks. I already have the HD leaf pack from General Spring and 884 coils for the front.

Need some help. I am stuck and agonizing over this decision.

    Thanks TW

I have the exact same truck as you (09 DCSB Sport), and have literally been fighting this exact same question too. I spoke to Toytec, and they don't recommend the 5100 w/ the 884, for what it's worth. They would tell you to go with the Nitros.

It is hard to beat Bilsteins on overall value. The rear factory replacements are a 8" and 8.5", but they have 9.25" travel shocks as well:

    Extended/ Collapsed/ Travel
    24.35/ 15.11/ 9.24
    22.50/ 14.06/ 8.44
    21.54/ 13.58/ 7.96

As for the fronts, the OME springs are designed to be used in conjunction with their struts.

I ended up going with the Nitrochargers.

13.85 collapsed & 23.93 extended. They really are the right fit and the better choice of the two but man I really didn't want to spend the extra money.
