Howdy do folks, looking for opinions from people who have used Icon, Deaver, or Old Man Emu leaf springs. Is Deaver worth the extra money? Is the OME squeaking really that bad? planning on getting new leafs now that mine are frowning from the extra weight. Around 500lbs in the rear regularly.
    Anything helps thanks

OME is very squeaky. Ive had mine for 110k miles. But all leafs will eventually squeak, even the super nice ones. Just the nature of the beast. I say forgo leafs and get a 4 link.

I got ome medium for about 20-30k miles so far. They have been quiet. I do have the new design.

but….I load it up with 400lbs and hitting bump stops very easily over uneven terrain.

I have had no noise of any kind with my OME heavy springs. Greased them when I first installed them about 10k miles ago and have not heard a sound from them.

OME on my first gen, rides nice, not loud/squeaky, also not overly stiff. Deaver on my third gen, way stouter springs, work awesome when fully loaded and seems like they won’t sag ever based on how they feel after about a year and a half of use. For a heavy setup I’d do the Deavers again in a heartbeat. If it isn’t too heavy, the OME is smoother.

I’ve had OME and now Icon (ONLY the leafpack). Runs noticeably smoother than my OME. Plus my OME wore out fast.

I even run airbags with the Icon RXT leaf pack and it’s great with the Daystar cradles
