I agree crawl control is lame but I also agree that this thread has probably already happened thousands of times.. crawl control is some 5 years old now. Maybe even older.

Considering the 4Runner had it in 2010 makes this nothing new.

I suggest everyone get rid of their winch and jack as well. Those people that do know how to off road shouldn't need those either. While were at it, put the truck back on original suspension and dump the larger tires with the stupid tread designed for off road!

How is it stupid? Did you know how crawl control works? Probably not, since you don't own one. Nor does any of these fan boys with new 3rd gen threads posting as if they have one lol. Go fan boys

I think all the old school & experienced offroading guys/gals are gonna have fun playing around with it.... putting it to the ultimate testing.

It's a neat feature that only a newbie offroader would get excited about. Cuz all the experienced folks know how to use their gearing, right foot, and seat of the pants.

So...what happens when the crawl control can't get you unstuck? The newbies will be scratching their heads while the experienced old school folks will have it figured out already.

I didn't say it was stupid, but you sure implied it was in your original post. I was merely pointing out that most people that seriously off road have other accessories that help them out of situations they get into when off road. I thought the sarcasm was implied in my post, but apparently not.

Personally, if I buy an OR in the future, i'm sure as hell not going to have them remove it. If you don't like it or think it isn't needed, just buy a manual.
