I bombed up there and back in 36 hours round-trip from Fairbanks and had no problems. I helped one lady with a flat but she had worn out crap tires on a rental mini SUV. My Tacoma weighed 6200lbs on the scale just outside of Inuvik so definitely on the heavy side.

Improved shift points, added hp & torque. When I press the gas my truck goes now. It doesn’t hesitate anymore.

Can anyone even get that spare up there without putting their back out? Getting it down is easy. I guess one could just leave the fucked tire on the side of the trail.

I put the tire on the tailgate, stand on the tailgate, then lift it from the tailgate to the roof. It’s not too bad. It’s only a 31” tire, but still heavy. I wouldn’t normally want a tire on my roof. It was the thing to do for this one trip and would not do it again. Luckily I did not need the tire.

Did they OVTune it or their own software upgrade, or something else entirely?

I live in Texas. An F-150 does NOT turn heads, it makes you a soccer mom. My stock tacoma gets compliments at least twice a week.

That's not counting the cash deals my boss keeps offering me for it

The F-150 is the minivan of texas

I disagree. The Chevy Silverado is incredibly good looking, but its a chevy and a full size truck. I also like the way the ford Raptor looks more than the Tacoma... but again its a full size truck and a Ford and way out of my price range.

I'm pretty sure it's your truck that's getting the compliments and not you (lol).

Most of the people that love the new Tacomas don't own a new Tacoma. The guy that I bought my 2006 from bought a 2018 and he has told me several times he doesn't like the 2018 near as much as the 2006, mainly because of that 2018's automatic transmission/lack of power.

Maybe not your head;) and regardless of what gender you think drives the f-150, It’s the best overall looking truck on the road. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Toyota fanboy and I really like the way some of the current Tacoma’s look. But I’d put my money on a 4 door blue jean metallic F series any day.

It’s their own tune, I’m running a test version for them. The official release is coming up soon. Once released they’ll post on here. If your interested search for their FB page. There’s more details on it with the Dyno info.

If I were to go with a full sized truck it would probably be a F150. Definitely not a GM product. Would it turn heads and prompt complements like my Tacoma? Nope but a solid truck non the less.

Not a chance. F-150s don't stand out at all. I've had more compliments in the 3 months that I've had my Tacoma than in the 18 months I owned my '18 Raptor. The only people that would ever compliment the Raptor were 60+ yr old men.
