On the fence of purchasing a new Tacoma

    You say “some of my concerns are can size, power loss, pulling capabilities, fuel mileage”. Those are at the bottom of the list of what Tacomas do well. I like my Taco, but I don’t think it will meet your needs.

    I agree with DrRansom. I traded a Sierra extended cab short bed 5.3 V8 for my 2023 Sport crew cab long bed. Take an extended test drive in the Tacoma. The driver seating position is low and it took about a week before I found the right seat position to become comfortable. The engine has power at the higher rpm range and the truck will go when you need it to. The transmission does hunt the gears, but so did my Sierra's 6 speed auto. Many reviews will say the Tacoma is dated, old school, and needs to be updated to stay competitive. This is the best selling mid size truck because of it's reliability and simplicity! I did a lot of research before I bought my Tacoma. There are faster, more comfortable and higher tech mid size trucks on the market. I have no regrets and I love the look and feel of my truck.
