I’d ask who ever is going to weld the cam tab to frame if they can do it?
(You have to weld the tab/bracket to frame)

Thank you. I am afraid I am going to have to get with Toyota dealership (rape rape) to do it as I do not know of a welder. I saw from another post that indeed you do need to weld the arms to the part. And now the whole part to the truck.....sighing. why cant it be something simple?

What part of the country is the truck in? The tacomaworld network is strong and I'm sure we could crowdsource a reputable welder recommendation, or a TW member might just be able to melt some metal for you directly.

The dealer probably won't be willing to do a modification like this. If you let people know where you're located they can typically recommend a local shop or person that can help out. I might be making too big of an assumption here but if the number in your screen name is your area code then there are plenty of qualified people locally who could do this work.

There's a "Florida" forum here. I'm sure if you posted there someone would be able to help find you someone who could tackle this project.

@SunnyD714 is he in a military service? We appreciate all military and emergency personnel here. There's probably someone willing to help out for a case of beer.

When I lived in southern Illinois, I had my local muffler guy weld my sliders on. He did a great job and didn't charge much. It's just a thought but welding the stock tabs is a pretty secure solution.
