Do you need to know, or care?
OP is the most epic adventurer on this site. Safe travels, looking forward to the adventure book you should put together. Congrats on the marriage and the new addition to the family. Envy is not enough to express to you, jealousy is a little closer. Safe travels! Thanks for sharing!!

Question: Do you have a list of what you did to prepare/outfit the truck for this kind of trip?

I'm very happy to see you interested in our journey.

It may look "awesome" in the photographs but it occasionally borders self imposed homelessness. We live very minimally and try to focus on what we do. The hardest part was leaving our old life. The rest was easy. Now we can't imagine a different life.

Somebody thought we may be rich. :) It's probably true since most people around the world get by for less than two dollars a day, but I'm sure most folks here are better off than we are. We don't have anything other than this truck and some savings that has been floating within the same two digit level since we left. No home, no retirement plans etc... I'd like to think it's not really a privilege but a preference. Maybe even a stupid one. But it's been beautiful.

We work. We're graphic designers. Both Sarah and I have a few clients that send us design jobs occasionally. We stop traveling for a week or so, deliver what's needed and get paid. That's usually enough to keep us going for a month on far ends of the world. We don't make tons of money, but it's enough to sustain the trip without going negative.

We don't really like the idea of receiving sponsorships or donations. We want our own earned money to pay for this life. That proves it's possible for anyone who wants to do it.

Someone asked the mileage of the truck. It's nearing 160K. Still has some juice in it. We're planning Asia now. But it's very cold now in the northern hemisphere and our son is too young to be sleeping in a roof tent in this weather.

The shooting in Belize was just unfortunate. We were not the targets. Danny, the 22 year old father of a girl, who was there to protect the tourists like us was the target... He died and the killer got away with it. At the time, we were calm and safe enough to hold a camera in our hands. You can see it in the video. The situation was very uncommon and we were just unlucky to witness it. Belize is a great country. I would go there again without hesitation. Please don't let it discourage you. The video is there to show you the crazy story behind. Remember it when you buy flowers. That is the market for that plant they were after.

You guys are great motivation. I will post some new stories on the website tomorrow. Thank you! We also have the instagram and facebook pages with the same name if you want to follow the trip. Nonurbia.

Back to why I was here in the first place, I had the mirror cut today and also mounted it. The housing had shattered in pieces so glueing it all together with epoxy was the hardest part. I would order a new one but the customs and shipping fees are too steep here in Serbia. It may never make it before we leave the country.

Lucian is crying. I need to change him now. My turn. Thanks again for the help. I knew I was asking the right people.
