Another 'cars to avoid' list from an unknown, non-reputable source. I don't even like the 3rd gen but these pop up all the time and should be taken with a grain of salt.

"According to 2016 Tacoma owners, this truck leaves a lot to be desired. Not only is it hard to climb into because it’s a bit high off the ground, but vibration and steering is a constant problem [7]. That being said it does have its good points mainly that it works well for towing, hauling, and going off-road. That being said its “a chore to drive” according to Consumer Report. It’s up to you…is this the truck for you?
    "

    Who are these owners??

One thing is clear when it comes to criticisms of the Tacoma here, no matter how accurate: If it is a mainstream review source knocking it, TW forum members say they're paid off. If it is not mainstream it will be discredited by TW forum members.

As COskimtb said....you can read anything on the Internet. I haven't heard of any gen3 owners disliking it or complaining about getting into it or steering it. Craptastic all the way

Had they listed "lethargic engine" "crappy auto transmission" or "low transmission fluid" it would have held some merit, but "hard to climb into"? Gimme a break.

No matter how you slice it, the 3rd Gen taco drives like a truck from over a decade ago (NVH, road manners, etc). 'SheBudgets.com' isn't the only outlet to point out these shortcomings; virtually every unbiased review says the same thing. At least the 3rd Gen improves on the 2nd Gen by now including spiffy tech and a nice interior, but it is what it is.

The entry height comment was pretty silly though.

Perhaps if you had been a more avid reader of shebudgets, you could have avoided purchasing the gen 3 and your life would be so much better.

    The more you know...

It's not even a feature count thing, it's just that the drive is "clunky". Every action is met with some kind of unpleasant noise or vibration.

In this era of highly-advanced cars that totally isolate you from the road and machine, it's kind of endearing to drive a vehicle that clearly communicates what every moving part is doing. If you're after this 'throwback' experience coupled with some modern tech/amenities, the Taco is the truck for you. Mainstream buyers should know that the driving experience is extremely antiquated by current automotive standards, however.

Which is why Toyota's competition is constantly on the attack. Companies do what ever it takes to sell their product, fake consumer reporting, lying etc.
