I'm sure it may be hard for you older people to understand, but millennials (a term that get tossed around with contempt which refers to those of us born between 1980-2000) are actually more skeptical of information they take in. Google "millennial skepticism".

Millennials are also less likely to be dogmatic and are more open to opposing views.

It's pretty normal for people to just throw out the term millennial to try to bash someone, but it's an intellectually lazy way go go about it.

After your morning Geritol you might want to educate yourself. :bananadead::crapstorm:;)

I'm genuinely interested in the bolded part above - is that happening? I haven't seen it except for the 110 dB interior noise guy. If you have example threads, I'd be interested to read through them.

Generally it seems like the 3rd gen owners have to put up with a lot of hostility and patience can wear thin when certain members bash a truck they have not personally experienced. If you own one with problems I think most folks here have demonstrated sympathy, provided tips, relayed their own experience, etc. Smitty is a great example - he has complaints that are unresolved and I fully accept his truck isn't right. But then someone like Friggin Fuego has huge confirmation bias against this redesign even though he doesn't own one. (Not to pick on anyone in particular...)

And it's that drum beat of folks acting with their Dothraki-like "it is known" comments that get tiresome. It isn't known, it isn't a fact that I have personally experienced. And so I will continue to make that point even if dismissive types want to call me a fanboy. There are literally only a couple V6 manual 4x4's on the market and Toyota has earned my accolades so far.

You might want to educate yourself on what skepticism was born in the 60s, 70's and 80s because what you say isn't anything really new. You're just rehashing what young people have always done, question the establishments of the preceeding generation only now you do it with the global reach and ease of the Internet and social media.

It's kinda funny really, shebudgets? I mean most of us don't purchase a truck for the Mpg's, that may have made sense to mention in an article like that, but hard to get into? Lol that's just funny.

Damn I was posting to be funny. That link popped up when I was reading the news. Didn't mean to start a vshit.storm 5 pages long.

    Haters gonna hate.

How about for my next thread we post our chicks in bikinis next to the taco!!
