    TW,

On family vacation in the NC Smoking Mountains. We are having trouble finding a dependable place to ride a Tacoma and a couple of dirt bikes.

An ORV park would be great. But right now we would settle for anything.

    Where are you in NC?

Callalantee OHV park is technically in Tennessee:

But it's right over the line from Boone and VERY close to all of the NC blue ridge.

I would recommend there for your shortest drive.

That's about 3 hours from us.

I can't say for up there or for the truck but for the bikes, me and some friends used to ride four wheelers in Alabama. Don't know if you want to go that far but it's a great place to ride trails. 23 miles of trails kept up for bikes and atvs. I miss my quad. :(

Closest I know of is Richland Gap outside Lenoir NC, but that's still a 2.5 hour drive from where you are.

Honestly, 2.5-3 hours isn't a bad drive to get to a wheeling spot...just make a full day out of it...

Typically I would agree that 3 hours isn't bad and make a weekend of it. However, leaving the rest of the family for that long on our trip is something I'd like to avoid if possible

We were planing on going to upper tellico but they closed down. No wonder I couldn't get a hold of them the past couple of weeks

Tellico has been closed for quite some time now...
