Received my packages and installed one. The other is a gift for a good friend. Only modifications I did was shave down the fender washers on the hoses behind the quick releases and install the switch in the storage compartment just left of the pump. Everything turned out great! Thank you again for an awesome product Anthony. Now the wife wants some type of heater for shower use. Any suggestions...

The ads at the bottom of this page show some products previously discussed for a hot water solution. Apparently it worked pretty well. And somewhere in this thread is 1 or 2 pages just about hot water options. Good place to start the research.

Also, glad to hear the install went well. Can you let me know why you needed to shave the washers down? Did you have fitment issues? Im open for feeeback on things like this so i can make necessary adjustments on future kits. I know the washers are slightly oversized but usually during install when you tighten the brass fittings together the washers just bend and form themselves to the curvature of the truck. I went oversize just because more surface area is always better, but if its causing you an issue please let me know. In some installs i have even seen them overlap if the fittings are installed too close together but it still worked fine. Feel free to post here or PM me. Thank you for your feedback!

Hey Edgar, check out Post #1 and Post #3 in the tread. There are spots left but they are selling fast. I'd get in on this ASAP if you really are interested. There will be a lot of disappointed people in a few days that have to wait on enough interest to get Anthony to start another round. Get 'em while there hot, man!

I shaved the washers a little just so it would lay flat. There was a gap because of the curvature to the right. No biggie. I probably could've left it, tightened it, and let the washer bend to the truck like u said.
I was also trying to see if I could mount the pump in a different spot. A great spot would be on top of the storage box instead of inside it but the hoses would interfere with pushing the storage box back into place. A right angle fitting of some sort might solve that. Then u would have a little more room for storage but a little harder to get to the pump for maintenance. And the pump is more susceptible to the elements. Maybe that's a bad idea. Nevermind.

Thanks again for a great product!!

Yeah that was what I was thinking. I know at some point some knuckle head won't be able to resist if it was out in the open.

Side note: Install TC bed stiffeners first. I had to remove the bottom hose and quick release to drill the top hole for the stiffeners. A little PITA but got it done.

Good catch with the stiffeners! I did the same thing when i installed the TC brackets I already had my water kit installed and had to undo it all. It sucked. So yes, bed stiffeners first!

Just got mine installed (nearly 1am now...)!
Decided to go with the self-contained setup, and opted out of drilling through the truck. Same idea, but the switch is on the inside (like @Drainbung and @rka) as well as the hose connections. A word of advice for those looking to do the same thing - Don't. It was a huge pain. it looks clean and works just the same though. I'm just more about the stealth.

Also don't do the install at night and by flashlight.
And don't cut yourself 10 minutes into the install.
And make sure you charge your drill's batteries before you start.

Seriously though, this thing is sweet! I tested it out and it works great. Only thing is using the "shower" setting will be disappointing - as you'd expect, if you think about it. This pump is pushing a little over 1 gal/min, as opposed to your garden hose which has considerably greater flow.
The other settings work well though.

@ProForce is the man. Thanks for getting this awesome product.
One thing - the instructions were well done and clear, but calls for a T27 torx - On the 2017, a T27 will work, but the true size is a T30.

@Naturalness Do you mind explaining why it was such a pain? I was planning on installing mine completely in the cubby as well. There's a setup on page 20 that I would like to more or less copy and was wondering if yours was much different.

That post on page 20 is the motivation behind my install. I took the cubby out and did the install on the bench. If you do it this way, just know it's a pain to get the cubby back in, but it does go with the right angle of the tubing and all.

I had a feeling all the tubing would make it a bit difficult. I'll just have to play with it some to find the right way whenever I do the install.

Exactly. The hard part is getting the cubby back in. It's easier to put the holes in than in the bedside, and it all works - you just have to understand that you may have to attach the tubes after reinstalling the cubby. That means from inside of the fender. That's actually not too difficult. Just took a lot of prying to try to get the hoses to fit before I realized that way wasn't going to work. I even made sure to trim the hoses down several inches to keep it compact. A 90 degree elbow piece could solve that, but I didn't have any on hand.
Doing it again, it would be easy. Lesson learned - the cubby doesn't have too much clearance.
I had the same issue with the switch, but solved that by pulling it out and then snapping it back into place after the cubby was in.
