I'm currently on the once a year/every 5,000 miles train myself since I have barely driven 3,000 miles so far this year. Is there anything special I would need to do or something to keep in mind when doing an oil change on a 313,XXX mile motor?

I won’t go past 8,000 tops or twice a year. Mobil 1 advanced full syn high mileage and using an extended filter. Oil is inexpensive. Engines aren’t.
