    Hi everyone.
Considering a purchase. Owned a sweet 09 tacoma TRD that got squashed by a texter while I watched it happen. Loved that truck. Made me sick. Had to settle on another make and model until it started to fail. I'm almost committed to a 2017 SR5 4 cyl. Should I wait for a 6 cyl. to be available? Transportation use only with an occasional mulch, firewood, venison run.

Test drive both see which one you like better. I’d personally rather have the V6

V6, read about all the 4 banger posts and you'll see most want more power.

The 2nd gen 4 banger was available in the smaller 5 lug model, it was more drivable. The 16+ just doesn't drive that well with the little power plant.

I'm in a crunch, need a vehicle. Signed on the dotted today. Took the 4. A 6 was available but was in a wreck. Dealer wouldn't install 265 tires to remain certified vehicle? Whatever. Sales people are funny people.
