what if i said that aaron lewis song under your avatar kind of sucks too? . . . i dig what he's getting at and all, im just tired of all the country songs these days just saying "im a country bad ass". the whole jason aldean, brantley gilbert, kind of stuff. real country is merle, johnny, george, waylon, and even some newer guys like AJ, Strait, Jamey Johnson. . . . . though i do respect your sig.

man back in high school i was the BIGGEST Corey Smith fan. his first four albums are great. I've seen him 4 times i think. but in the past 2 years he's turned into a major sell out. have you heard his new music? used to, it was just him, a bassist, and a drummer. now he's got a piano player and an electric guitarist and some other instrumentalist. just doesn't sound as raw and cool. and his whole songwriting demeanor has changed. i mean he used to have a whole fuck the system, don't sign to major record labels cause he wants to do his own thing; but now he's changing lyrics to his old songs trying to get on country radio and what not. i mean, have you seen the video for twenty-one?! it's so pathetic. . . now don't get me wrong, i play guitar and just last week i played twenty-one, fuck the popo, maybe next year and a few others all the way through for like the millionth time, but like i said, it's the old stuff. today's corey is a totally different person from the old one. i didn't even buy his new album that came out a couple of months ago. not gonna waste my money on it. . . end rant/

I have heard that from a few people, but I personally havent listened to any of his new stuff. He came to Greenville last year and I went with a few friends. It was good, of course I was a little under the influence:eek:. That sucks tho. I remember in high school there was nothing like riding down the old country roads at night with the windows down listening to OCMS and Corey Smith....ahhhhhh.....I miss the simpler times.
