Rasar State Park in Concrete is really nice. A very nice stroll to the Skagit and lots of good FS roads nearby:

There is a nice little BLM campground right by the Yakima River just outside of Ellensburg:

Also, there should be a lot of unimproved spots of the FS roads available with the snow just about gone.

Being that Rasar is a state park, Have the covid restrictions been lifted?

Yakima river area looks nice. I’ll take a closer look.
This is my first outing so it’s really a scouting mission to find nice area for actual camping trips.

There are a bunch of camping in the Yakima Canyon and hiking spots. It is a very nice area IMO.

I believe camping is open everywhere but KingCo? It is all too confusing to pay attention too. I know the parks are now unlocked near me.

If you are just scouting / looking for ideas, I really liked Bay View SP, just west of Burlington. There is a neat little research reserve just north of the park.

There are a ton of nice spots along 101 on the west side of the Sound and along the northern end of the Peninsula.
