Is that a massive water stain on your ceiling ?

 

Wind blew tarp off my stack of drywall while sitting outside waiting to be installed. Got a bit wet but I figured nothing a little stain blocker paint won't fix.

 

Thats a bummer , but I thought your roof was leaking , that would be worse haha

 

Got my cistern tank cleaned out today. Climbed in through the hole in top and scrubbed it down and hosed it out. Plugged drain hole from the inside:Plugged it from the outside too - just for good measure...Got some heavy duty ratchet straps:Ready to transport to the site:Dropped it off at site and used loader to fill in electrical trench so I can set tank in hole tomorrow.

 

Tank being set:"It's in the hole!!!"

 

Lol, it doesn't look like I could fit my leg through that hole, let alone climb through it.

Lol. Can't tell from pic but the hole is about 18" in diameter. I had to squeeze a bit to make it through.

 

Had access to a skidsteer this afternoon, so electrical trench got backfilled.

 

Got my exterior light wired and mounted: Switch on the left controls living room ceiling fan, top right switch controls 3 interior living room wall sconces and bottom right controls exterior light outside door.

Terrible pic, but installed bathroom fart fan last night.

 

Got my access pipe with pitless adapter installed: Water pipe trench dug as well. Last 4 feet were a bear - too close to cabin to use the backhoe so I used a good old spade.

 

Just a suggestion , take it at your own peril but you should insulate the first 4' or so of that pipe if that is an exterior wall , plus I always make sure the last 4 or 5' or more of the pipe is pitched down slightly toward the exterior , that way if you get any condensation build up inside the pipe in winter , the water will drain out through the vent towards the outside

 

Got the supply pipe run over to cabin from pitless adapter. Pipe isn't so flexible at 20°F:

I have to run a power line over to tank for cistern pump and then it's dirt work.
Anyone know if submersible wire is also suitable for direct burial or should I run it in conduit?
