I mostly Hunt Waterfowl across the state, but I spend a ton of time in Guana. Pretty certain I’m going to wrap the shell. I already have the vinyl, and even though it’s bigger than any job I’ve done, it’s a lot less intricate

Sorry to hear about your friends accident. He may have an opportunity to buy it back from the insurance company for pennies and then part it out and junk what doesn't sell.

    Just a thought.

Even if he dropped it off at a repair facility that is a direct repair shop for his insurance company, the estimators would still need photos before deeming it a total loss and they'd submit them over to his insurance company. They have to snag photos of all corners, tires, odometer, damage, etc. Once the insurance company cuts the check, it's their truck. Hope they don't pop him for selling something that they technically own. But, that's on him...

You beat my deal! Paid $300 for the Snugtop I have on my top. Had my brothers body shop fix some minor fiberglass damage and painted to match for $250. All in for $550. I'd pay $100 in a heartbeat!

Meant to post a few weeks ago but time got away

Ended up sanding it down, priming and painting. It looked great until I hit with clear coat and it got a milky glaze to it. So, I sanded down and hit it again. The second time I used a generic paint and it didn’t get the gloss look I was going for However, I ended up liking it so I kept it. After all was said and done, had about 155 bucks into the shell ED8A4453-54C0-4F8D-8DB3-CE2E557B82E5.jpg

I just continually monitored craigslist, letgo, and the facebook marketplace until i finally found one that would fit my truck and was already the right color. (black made that pretty easy). Maybe i got kind of lucky but i did see a lot of the SB toppers before i finally found a LB version.

Sweet deal. I grabbed my Leer for $500. My truck is silver, cap is white. Called up Leer to get new keys for it, they gave me all the info on it. Apparently it was originally silver. Makes sense that the dude I bought it from laughed at me when I rolled up in a silver truck. Oh well. I’ll get it painted at some point.

    A shell for $100?

Shit for that steal I’d pay to have it repainted. You’ll still be lightyears ahead!
