OK, maybe not but I've searched here as well asked Google and couldn't really find anything solid on fixing the glove box not latching issue. Was going to buy a replacement glove box through eBay but was able to put the bits and pieces I've found on the Internet together and fixed my Taco's glove box.

Once I removed the two black screws holding the latch from the inside of the box, I pried and separated the black glove box from the grey cover. I discovered that the piece that latches onto the metal piece attached to the dash has fallen off. I just snapped it back into the groove of the yellow and black base piece, screw the two gold screws back on and the glove box is latching again. Cost me some time but saved me about 70 bucks from buying that glove box from eBay.

    Thanks!

Didn't want to pay $$$ for a new glove box especially not for a 2005 Taco with 220K miles, none of the self service salvage yards near by have a Gen 2 Taco in their inventory so my options was eBay or DIY. Figured I try DIY first so at the very least I can learn something...
