What should I do next?

I know I'm one of those newbies asking the same thing...

I'm trying to figure out what I should do next...
Here's a post of what I've done so far -

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/117562-i-love-place.html

    Here's the top ones -

    HIDs both Headlights and Fogs
Trifold Tonneau Cover (not sure what kind)
    Exhaust + Intake/Filter(looking at TRD)
    Sound System (AMP, Components, Sub)
Cosmetics (Bull Bar / Skid Plate)
Other (please suggest if I'm missing something good)

Not really interested in lifting the truck right now...

Any help in what direction to head first and why would be appreciated!

    Thanks - Robert

Good one... But I think I 'should' limit my impulsive behavior!

Also my girlfriend is happy that she finally has something to get me for Christmas since I have a new truck and she knows I want a bunch of stuff for it. I need to save some for her! No more receipt scanners or digital notepads for me this Christmas! :)

And the question was what to do FIRST... ie order tomorrow!

my vote would have to be for the exhaust or exterior accesories

hmmm so why the exhaust... That was rather further down my list!

What exterior accessories would look good on my truck?

    So many choice and options!

Ouch that's my next thing... I liked the TRD but saw a few who said it had a drone sound. Which ones are you looking at?

I thought my HID's were one of my favorite mods. and not too pricy
$114 for headlights and fogs from DDM.

in my opinion-best bang for the buck.

i'm not really sure why. i just know i had one on my truck before this one and i loved it. i love this truck, but it's so quiet! i miss that little bit of rumble, it makes it sound like more of a truck. i still haven't got an exhaust yet, i wish it was the first thing i had done. exterior accessories could be anything, just depends on how you want your truck to look, who you are, what you need, etc. anything from bull bars, running boards/step rails, chrome accents, blacking out things, tint, aftermarket wheels or tires, etc. it could go on and on. it's just up to you mainly.

So you guys are not mentioning the tonneau cover, probably one of the expensive items...maybe I should put that at the end of the list.

I am right with you on the exhaust I would like a little bit more of a tone...

yeah, i bought my truck with the tonneau on it...and it got in the way more than i used it. so i have taken it off and it's currently for sale. but it was a hardtop. i understand that the soft ones and foldable ones are a little more practical and cheaper. but the exhaust seems like a must. with the exhaust, not only will people see the a nice looking truck, but they will hear it also. an exhaust almost seems to define a truck to me, it's like a person's personality trait that sticks out.

Thanks - I definitely don't want a hard tonneau, a few friends have had them and I never liked them, they look great but do tend to get in the way...

This was helpful, I'm sure others will chime in too, but I think the exhaust and HIDs are good start.

Greg - thanks for the info, I have found the first link, the second one is just what I was looking for...

As for HIDs all my previous vehicles have had them stock and I have become very reliant on them, I don't live out in the sticks but I am in the mountains often plus the deer are everywhere...

a tonneau was actually the first thing i did when i got my truck. in my neck of the woods, they steal tailgates and resell them. so out here, either buy a tailgate lock or a tonneau if you dont want your 5hit stolen
