One piece headache rack / lumber rack?

Anyone have ever seen a simple, one piece headache rack / lumber rack?

Now that my rear slider has been officially "broken in" by an errant piece of fire wood... it's time to replace the window and protect it like I should have in the first place.

And I'd like to kill two birds with one stone if you know what mean.

Let me if and where I can purchase such a thing.

 

You mean a front headache rack with glass protection and rear rack so lumber is hauled flat over the cab ?

 

That's right.

 

I haven't seen an off the shelf set up like that but have seen some custom ones locally

OP , if you do go the custom build route , you might want to consider something like this , the rear hoop is removeable and when removed it stores nested against the cab hoop

This rack is on a local guys 1st Gen Tundra but the idea would translate to a 2nd Gen Tacoma , the only thing I would alter is that I would do a 1" x 1" mesh at the cab rather than the vertical bars

Found a local guy, "Scotty's Toppers," in Lafayette, CO who is putting on a custom one for me - $900.

Ah, reread your earlier posts about nested hoop. Good idea but I went with a fixed hoop set up. Although I did get easy to remove cross bars as a friend said that help when getting a load from a fork lift. Will post photos soon. Really enjoying it.
