What a weird problem. I have noticed one side (usually passenger) of my DRL will randomly turn off. I have a 2009 TRD OR with an arb bumper. I tapped the amber lights to my DRL so they work together.

So after driving for a bit and only sometimes I will notice one side cuts off. However, if I turn on the headlights (which turns the DRL off) and flip it back off both of the DRL work perfectly. Also toggling the blinkers bring them both back on.

Checked the fuse, was fine. I went through and soldered and triple checked every connection I made when wiring the ARB blinkers, but no amount of jiggling wires and hitting stuff makes them turn on, only toggling the lights or blinkers. Has anyone else had this issue? Maybe it’s a relay or the turn signal switch? I’m at a loss...

I'm not following all the ARB wires, but I guessing that you're overloading the flasher. This is strictly a guess. I have no idea what's inside the flasher, but I would imagine that there's a few driver transistors. There may be circuit breaker type protection in there to protect the transistor if the current load is too much for the transistor, but not enough load to blow the fuse. It's feasible that turning the circuit off would reset the circuit breaker. If that's really what's happening, you need to put the added lights on relays.

Had a similar problem when I did mine. I think you're getting intermittent current to/from the amber light filaments to the DRL circuit causing your problem. Mine also made all of the dash lights to come on, although very, very dim. Diodes strategically placed in the circuit may help, but that would limit the function of the circuits. The body ECU is very sensitive to bleed-through voltages. I tried many different solutions, the only one that worked was to restore to the original configuration. Hope this helps. Let us know if you come up with a solution that works!
