One Stop Shop in SoCal

Hey guys I’m shipping two vehicles from Hawaii in October and looking for a shop to get some mods on my Taco and possibly my 4Runner.

for the Taco:

lift (OME is my first choice)
Bed rack and RTT
SCS wheels and probably wildpeaks

For the 4Runner:

lift (brand is not really a concern but I don’t want a RC type budget lift)
Possible roof rack and RTT (it’s all about money when it comes to this)
SCS with some all terrains

I have lots of room for suggestions, but I’m looking for a shop that I can get most of these bought from and installed at.

I’m making a cross country trip from Long Beach(where my vehicles will be shipped to) to West Point, NY. I plan on stopping near Las Vegas, Utah, possible Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and finally New York.

I am all ears for suggestions near the start of the trip, but I’m not really wanting to travel very far across the nation without at least the RTTs. Any recommendations are appreciated!

I haven't personally done anything with them but I have heard good reviews from Sibi Built (@Jason TRD OR ) and it seems they can handle most everything above. If I were you I would start ordering some parts now since most everything has been on backorder for months at a time... A lot of people on here use Headstrong Offroad to get lifts such as OME/Bilstein/King they usually do free shipping but since you're in HI it will likely be a bit of a shipping charge.

Rear king shocks for my 4Runner are 30 weeks out. Better get your order placed now.

 

Getting SCS wheels is tricky as you have to follow their instagram and watch them closely. It is not guaranteed you can get what you want in the timeframe that you need. I tried to buy those wheels and finally gave up after several tries. If you are open to other brand, Discount Tires have pretty good selection here in Orange County. They should have stock for various brands and Falken in a matter of days or at most weeks. For bed racks, the lead time on this can take several weeks as well. Good luck OP. By the way, I am interested doing the road trip like you plan on doing! sounds like fun.

 

I’d place your order now for the parts like others have suggested. @ShowstoppersUSA is near the area you’re having your vehicles shipped to. They sale, I don’t think they install. I’ve heard nothing but good things about @Superdave1.0 with his installs so that’s definitely an option. Maybe order parts from mentioned vendor and have Dave do both vehicles. Swing by grab parts then Off to Dave’s.

as far as SCS wheels, good luck. May want to look for another brand. Unless you have the time to sit and wait on their drops. I got both my sets of scs by sheer luck. Checking inventory at a random time and then having only 4 rims in stock etc.

@Jason TRD OR dope!! I will start getting my budget all figured out and hopefully within the next 2 weeks since I’ll be out training all next week (military). As soon as I can start ordering I’ll let you know and we can figure out the details.

I don’t know if this would work out but my friend and coworker is trying to sell/swap his 2017 tacoma with SCS Wheels ray 10s in Mat gun metal 17 X 8.5 6 X 139.7 4.30" -10mm

it’s only a set of 4. I think they are equipped with Bfgoodrich Mud Terrains 285/70/17

But he needs stock wheels and tires which I’m trying to acquire for him *BEFORE he sells it all to Carvana/car max etc.

It’s a long shot but figured I’d ask. He wants to sell or swap ASAP. Let me know if those are exact scs wheels your looking for.

If OP isn't interested I have some stock wheels and tires off a '20 TRD OR for sale. 15k miles on them.

 

You can have them, I've got the BR6s on order from a local dealer here in Hawaii.
