I got a 4 Door 2002 Tacoma. Rn my right tail light doesn’t wanna go on, my brake light work just not the running light. I checked my fuses and they’re all good, it’s not my bulb cause I switched the bulbs and the one originally on the right side worked on the left tail light (running and brake light works), it’s not the tail light assembly it’s self cause I connected the left tail light to the right side and that didn’t work either. So now from my knowledge with wiring im down to the connecter, or a fault in the wiring itself.

my question is how can I determine if it’s the 6 pin connecter that connects to the tail light, or something with the wiring in the wiring harness ( or anything else that I could’ve looked over)

also sorry if my wording or terminology or my grammar entirely is terrible. It’s just the best way that could put it that makes sense to me

I would not worry about the trailer wiring/connector.
The Left tail light has to be installed to have a working Right tail light.
My link above explains it. You need to use a jumper or a left tail light to check the right side.
