Your SR5 does not have TC?

 

Stability control is mandated; traction control is not.

 

What? I thought all v6 Tacoma’s have the same TC, stability control and ABS.
That’s shocking to me that SR5 does not have TC.

 

After driving my neighbors new 2.7 Bronco with a 10 speed auto, it reminded me just how little low end torque the Tacoma has and how bad the auto shift programming is.

Tocomas needs better drive line options. Anything with 400ftlbs of torque would be fine with me

I have found that as well which is strange. Still a sad stereo considering other similar trucks on the market. My uncle has a 2021 TRD Sport Premium and was just looking at the 2022 Frontier Pro4x just for fun. Has an amazing 10 speaker Fender sound system with a sub. Even blows the Toyota JBL out of the water.

 

Toyota lists every trim level of Tacoma as having traction control. It's part of the Star Safety System.

 

Not a God dam thing. It was perfect the way it was delivered. A blank canvas that I could modify to my liking.

 

Heck, that's an easy fix that's reversible.

 

There is a YouTube video testing out the effectiveness of traction control on an SR5. The guy put the truck on jack stands and pulled off the stands pretty effectively with alternating wheels off the ground.
