I really like it so far. No complaints. Have not tested her much off road yet. Need to do the cab chop first.

So I got my lift installed and the front of the truck sits about 1" lower than the rear. Just found out that Fox had the coilover's preset at 2.5".. not at 3". Anyone know a ballpark range for taking the coilovers off, adjusting them to 3" and putting them back on?

Toytec 3" lift with AAL (coilovers assembled)
Camburg b/j UCA's(no ball-joint in these so they have to put the OEM b/j's in)
New tires balanced and wheel alignment
    Front diff drop

The lowest quote is $604. I have no idea how many hours it takes for a pro shop to install all of the above. Anyone has a clue?

Usually its an all day thing depending on the amount of customers... I drop off in the morning and pick up before the shop closes..

Id say around 400-500... 600 seems on the steep side.... I got my 3" lift kit installed for 450 tires mounted and balanced with no alignment.. alignment on the side costed me 60.. so grand total of 510...

Just got off the phone with my local Toyota dealer:

    5100s front only (2 hr): $205
    5100s rear only: $84
    Add a Leaf: (2 hr): $242
    Alignment: $100

IMO the hazards associated with a spring compressor make the $205 front install worth it. Afterwards they can do the alignment.

According to TW the rear billies and AAL are simple enough to DIY.

Where can I sign up to install two shocks for 84 bucks? I'd do that all day long for that price.

I went to several local garbage 4x4 shops and they quoted me $600-$650 for install. Not once did any of them ask me what the hell I wanted installed. All I said was that I wanted a lift installed and they came at me with that nonsense. I'd rather have bloody knuckles and have it take me 17 hours then to pay that crap.

    Hey everyone,

Here's a quote I got out of Alberta for me (in BC):

    Eibach/Toytec Springs (112-620) = $203.19 CDN/pr about 4-6 weeks away
    Bilstein 5100 adjustables (D-558) = $253.99 CDN/pr about 4-6 weeks away
    AAL Eibach/Toytec (TAC-AL-LA) = $101.59.
Total = $558.77 without taxes, $586.71 with taxes.
About $75-$100 bucks shipped to me

Got a quote from out east for OME 880 coil overs for about $235 shipped incl. taxes.

I'm looking to lift and level my '01 Taco Ext Cab TRD 4x4 from stock. A friend of mine up the street suggested I change out the front coils along with the struts ("just do it right from the get go!") so I'm thinking of leveling and adding 1-2" overall front to back, hence the lighter AAL vs. the leaf pack. Not thinking of adding a new bumper or winch and going only with 265/75/16 tires and no bigger (not planned anyways for now! LOL!!)

Question - do these prices look reasonable to you guys? Stuff up here in Canada seems to cost a bit more. Prices above don't include install (I think a bud of mine in town can help with a 2-4 of b##r! though!). Still very confused as to OME vs. Eibach/Toytec with Billys.....so much (and helpful) info!!

    Hi guys,
got a question, I've been quoted on a lift in Northern California truck store. I'm about to order a fully assemble OME strut w/ 885 no spacers and the AAL + LR UCA. I asked the shop guy he quoted me $350 labor + alignment. DOes that sound good? and can they really mess things up...i've asked him if had done tacoma lift kits before he said he had done spacers, so I'm kind of skeptical.... thanks in advance for your input

Just took my truck to a lift shop and after seeing my confused reaction as to why they were shoving a readylift spacer down my throat, this is what they came up with. Total cost for this setup is $2900 with wheels and tires, without I calculated it to about $1150. Reactions please? FYI-the readylift spacer lift with same wheels and tires was $2600 and I'd be scared to not get UCAs with that thing which would easily bump it up to $3200. Help! :goingcrazy:

So I just got a 2012 tacoma and I'm looking into getting it lifted but I can't decide on a 6'' or 3'' lift with some nice tires and rims but I'm very undecided I'm not looking to empty my entire wallet on this purchase either though I'm looking to get the most value and off road capability out of it. Any suggestions?
