My dad and I did that exact lift by ourselves, no experience and no speed tools. Watch some youtube videos and ask questions before you do and you should be fine. Took us 12 hours, make sure you know which way the spring perch goes on the front shocks :anonymous:

Spring perch? Could you elaborate? And if I'm going to do it I'll probably take about 3 days off work just be safe and get it done in time. I'll have a buddy of mine help out.

Definitely. If you are going to do it hit me up with any questions I'll be happy to help. The front shocks have an adjustable ring (called spring perch) cuz that's where the spring sits on the shock. Anyways, this little guy has a right side up and an upside down. You'll see it when you get it. If you put it on upside down (like I may or may not have done) then you suddenly get about 6" of lift...

6" sounds bad, like I'd be pushing the suspension system to the limit and possibly getting some knock lol. Is your lift noticeable? Probably after getting bigger tires is when it really starts to look big I'm guessing? Thanks for the help.

If installed correctly, it should be between 2.5-3. It was only 6 cuz I jacked it up like an idiot. Yes it's very noticeable even with stock tires. Yea you pop 33's on there and its a different truck

Hmm so your brackets had to be grinded down? Do you know if this is with other suspension companies as well? I just got a 2015 and was thinking on doing Ome up from but not if I have to grind them down

I've only heard of this being needed with OME. Not a big deal though. My installer ground them down a bit and everything works fine.

I bought what's basically a Icon Stage 4/5 from a member here, but with a full leaf pack versus an AAL.

    $450 labor

Took a bit over a day.

None yet, starting over!! OME lift w/ Dakars & 885's Remote Start w/ window control
AutoAnything has the 2005+ OME 3" kit on sale with a 20% off promo code (until 2/14), bringing the final price (for me, with overnight shipping to Portland) down to $1000. Doesn't include the goodies that Wheeler's includes, but that's about $60 worth of parts (bushings, carrier drop, & trim packer) that I'll be ordering from them when I actually place the order, once that wonderful tax return hits my account, with AA (sorry YotaDan... I promise i'll be coming to you for other stuff)

about $200 cheaper than anywhere else I've seen with shipping costs

I'm gonna get ahold of @Krazie Sj for his final installation guide on the OME kit, and I've got some hunting buddies that are looking forward to drinking beer and laughing at me while I spend a weekend trying to get a nut off.

The code is love20 for those of you who are interested.

I have both the OME ($981.16) and the Icon Stage 2 ($1638.39) in my cart and can't decide which one to purchase. The struggle is real.
