I'm planning on just going up in tire size slightly. From the stock 265 65r17 to 265 70r17 ATs. So if I buy those tires and have Bilstein 5100s set to 1.75", I should be good to go? Ride will still be good?

You will fit 265/70-17 without any lift.

I'm on the same boat as you, I have a 2010 TRD sport 4x4, and I'm wanting to lift my truck, but I'm new to this and I'm looking and reading a lot, and still kinda lost. I want to run 285/70/ 17 on stock wheels.

Is that all I'll need too?

No, on 285/70-17 with stock wheels you will also need wheel spacers, then do some trimming. 265/70-17 will not require any wheel spacers or trimming.

That is up for debate...but if you want to use stock wheels and 285 rubber, it is your only option. Without them you will have interference with the upper control arms. Most people just use new wheels with the correct offset.

ohh, I want to use the stock wheels, but if I get wheels with a diff off set I won't have to trim. OK. I see now.

I got this off the ready lift site....

Allows for up to a 33 x 11.5 tire on an 8" wide wheel with 5" backspacing with minor trimming of the inner fender liner. 32.5" tires on and OEM or 5" backspacing wheel should fit with no trimming required.

I just looked up the Bilstein 5100s for the front end of my truck on Down South Motorsports. I heard that was the cheapest place to order them, but the part number doesn't match the one the Bilstein site says goes with my truck. The cheapest I've found so far is $98.41 each with free shipping from Shockwarehouse.com. Anyone have any suggestions?

Do not do readylift!!!! I had this lift on my truck and hated it! bought the lift for 350 and the GUARANTEE to maintain a smooth ride was BS I had the lift for 2 months called the Readylift and the guy was an absoulte dick on the phone telling my I didnt know what I was talking about.

I have since gotten Icon C/Os and Total Chaos UCA's and the steering and ride are awesome.

The Block in the rear I kept however I wish I went with an AAL

650 for an installed lift spacer lift is a rip off dont do it!

Yeah, that's what I thought too. $650 for that reaylift was a too high, and that truck shop was trying to ripoff me off.

I helped two guys from a machine shop install mine. I gave both of them 50 bucks and they were pleased!!! They said that they only expected $20 a piece haha! But IMO $100 to install a lift? What a deal! haha

I will say I'm pretty much a DIY type on all things, but.................
I installed Summit 2.5-inch front aluminum spacer lift myself, in a couple of hours. cost: $60 dollars off of e-Bay for lift kit / alignment @ local Goodyear shop $69.99 (with 12-month warranty)
Sits a little high in the back now, I removed front lift to see if I could machine it down, but couldn't see an easy way, so I'll be installing a 1.5-inch rear block lift soon (seen on e-Bay for ~$75)

So total for 2.5-inch from with 1.5-inch back for a little over $200
ps-went much faster on the second time (lol)
