I've done some brief searching for a compilation of recommendations/reviews for Tacoma components using specific terms like "sources", "vendors", "websites," "retailers," etc... but I haven't found anything. I see individual reviews (under the obvious categories) and a basic list of vendors under the general forum, but not a compilation of reviews/experiences.

Would something like this be helpful for others? I'm happy to put in the work and organize this, but need the help. I'm still a week or two from purchasing my first Tacoma, so figured this would be a good list to throw together for new comers.

FYI I am buying as close to base model as possible, then adding mostly suspension components and basic performance upgrades.

(If this isn't the best place to ask, just let me know. I'm happy to move this to whichever group is more suitable).

Welcome aboard, I did a front end refresh last year and compared many vendors for the attached spreadsheet, 2003 extended cab 4X4 3.4L. I'll also add SuspensionLifts.com is a great resource, the only place I found that offers assembled coilover packages at the best price. They are based out of Canada but have a Torrance CA address, and ship from multiple warehouses across the U.S., my order arrived in days instead of weeks, from two warehouses.

This is a great start. I'd be underselling it when emphasizing my lack of Tacoma knowledge. I've got an embarrassing amount of knowledge in terms of motorcycles/superbikes, but I've only ever kept my trucks bone stock. With that being said, why did you replace the steering rack? What was the advantage?

The truck is 20 years old, rubber deteriorates, it was time. I replaced the rack because it had a slight pull to the right since I bought it. After refreshing everything else, it was still there, now it drives like new.
