ONLINE STORE NOT GIVING WHAT I PAYED FOR!

you guys are all pretty savvy I think when it comes to internet purchases. this is not taco related so don't get too mad yet lol. I just need some insight on what to do as I rarely buy stuff online and fear im getting screwed.

so, I bought an old welder a few months ago that is a little outdated, but like an old Toyota there are numerous shops that cater specifically to this machine and make custom parts to replace what Lincoln electric no longer does.

I ended up needing coils for the generator of this machine (engine driven) and found the best price at a site that is farely well known throughout the welding community, on the welding forum I have talked to others who have ordered from them.

I ordered the 28th of January and immediately received the confirmation. no shipping information after a week so I called and was told that the weather, (they are in Louisiana) was the issue and they would ship asap.

I wait a few days and send an email. no response. I called yesterday, still polite, and was apologized to and told that ups may have lost it, if that was the case they would ship another set asap. I called today and they said they shipped them out and would email me info. I HAVE NO INFO!

what do you all think? how do I go about this? the unfortunate thing is that they really have the market on these coils, only other supplier I found to be 200$ more. im stuck

Send the welder to me and all will be well.

I would ask for a manager and get it hammered out.

 

I think its one of those small shops where everyone is a manager but if they don't send me info by tomorrow I will call again and ask for one.

sorry, cant give this machine away, it doesn't weld but im already attatched to the motor. its like working on a 22re again! love 4cyl symplicity

 

Maybe uncle Si has it. Always best to purchase something with a credit card that has your back. I use AMEX card, if I don't get what I pay for I call them.

 

lol uncle si. I just talked with my card company and they will dispute the charge at my will I guess.

got off the phone with hybriweld and told them if I don't have shipping info today im seekin Citi on there asses lol. I really hate having to be rude but jeez this machine has been down for wayyyyy too long

 

Don't be sorry man, it's been almost a month and still nothing. I understand the weather issue but where's the tracking number, ya know?

 

finally got a tracking number, info unavailable because shipper changed destination.
