Only known this is been leveled and cool air intake
Hello all. First post and anyways, just bought a 09 Tacoma 2 weeks ago and tested everything including A/C, and it worked really well. Anyways, all of a sudden Only driver side I feel cold air and all the rest blows warm air. All vents blow but can't get my A/C thru any of the ducts from the middle to the right side, Defrost area, middle and floor vents , from the middle to the passenger sides are warm. Hoping I don't have to tear out the whole dash to fix the situation. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like it's low on refrigerant, check and see if the suction line (see picture below) is cold (truck running, A/C on high), if it isn't or is barely cool your either low on refrigerant or there's another problem in the refrigeration system, at this point you will need someone with gauges to hook up to it and diagnose further.

If you DIY don't use one of those suicide cans, charge it properly with gauges and don't use refrigerant with stop leak in it.

My guess is the seller charged the system and it held long enough to get it sold.

Or your really unlucky and have a fresh leak.

Best wishes for an easy fix!

What's with the tape? Part of the issue?

What tape? The only tape there is on the factory harness, nothing has been touched.

I have an 06 Tacoma Quad Cab V6. I don't have anything that looks like the tape in your photo on any part of the intake/ducting system. What is it holding in place?

There is no tape on the intake, the only tape in that picture is the main harness that is taped to the clip that holds it to the bracket.
The blue is just drawn over the picture.

I took a look under my hood today. My set up looks entirely different. (06 Tacoma V6) Maybe yours was modified somehow?

I've run into the leak on my old car but it was all the vents that went. Is it something newer in general or on our trucks that a leak could cause it not to hit all the vents? Just curious..
