Im prerunner but im running close to 6"lift with 12 wide heavy 20s and this is the point my tank goes quick. Best stock was 350 to a tank and so far best with lift and tires is 15mpg. . I have to x.15 to get my actual mileage

Believe it or not....using the cruise control will account for 2-4mpg difference. I just got my Tacoma so I haven't driven it long enough see how much I'll be getting but on my 2012 Camry se 4cyl, I took a trip to Florida from pa. What I found was when I wasn't using the cruise driving a steady 75-80 mph car loaded with luggage, wife and kid, I was getting a tad over 30. Soon as I hit the cruise for same speed...it dropped to 27. Took cruise back off for about 100 miles and was able to get it back up to 30.

it was a little strange but makes sense if you think about it. Cruise is designed to keep u at a certain speed..so the constant accel that it does to maintain speed will account for some mpgs.

Not that you'll see a uge improvement but try making the trip without using cruise...see what happens.

I always fill up at a 1/2 tank and I get right at 190-196 miles at a 1/2 tank....

I just got 250 on a tank. Filled up 18 gallons and I'm on 285's. The winter gas and snow driving definitely hurt my mileage

That seems like a lot. I've noticed that guage 1/2 tank and actual 1/2 tank are pretty far off. Seems the needle moves a lot faster as the fuel level gets lower... Might be just me though

Why not properly calculate miles per gallon instead of a highly inaccurate miles per tank. Fuel gauges are not highly accurate, are influenced by how the vehicle is sitting, where the float is positioned... So fill'er up, no topping off, when the nozzle shuts off pull it out and hang it up, set the trip meter, fill it up again when needed same deal no topping off, record the number of gallons, fill it up again when needed record the gallons a second time, fill it up a third time add gallons from the second and third fill ups and divide into miles on trip meter. You now have a fairly good estimate of miles per gallon which is the standard metric used to compare fuel economy.

I get 290 miles on 26 gallon tank on my 5.7 tundra. Best I got was 17 mpg. Don't get the tundra unless you need the towing capacity. It is a towing beast!

I concur. I find it maddening when people state: "I get xxx miles per tank", what the fuck does that even mean? The only number you can use for comparison purposes is the miles per gallon.

I concur. I did a trip on I5 south and back (freeway) earlier this month and noted the same mileage numbers.

    You got that right!

At 75-80 with hills mixed in my truck gets between 14 and 15 MPG.

Slower highway (60ish) I can squeeze 21 out of it.

anywhere from 10-12 gals on most refuels. I just did a trip down to Atl and i did get 368 out of one tank and when I refueled it took 17-19 gals.

If I can get 350-400 out of a tank of gas roughly I'm good....

Yep i have 34" tires on my DCLB and can easily get 300 to the tank in summer, but winter comes and i can barely get 300. Put it in 4x4 and forget about it... i got 260 after driving around in the snow, and using 4x4 for like maybe 50 miles.

My goal is to get 75 miles to the 1/4 tank, 150 to the half, and 300 before fillup.
