    I get slightly better mpg without cruise in hilly country, per ScanGauge, maybe .5 - 1.0 more at best. Manual transmission means cruise causes wider throttle opening to maintain mph when you go uphill, while an automatic will downshift and use less throttle. SG shows instantaneous mpg dropping from 20/21 on flat ground to 15 or less for the uphill climb, even on slight elevation change.
