Only got 2.5 Quarts of Coolant out of radiator drain plug?

I drained the radiator in my 05 tacoma Pre-runner a few days ago

I was surprised to find I was only able to drain 2 1/2 quarts of pink coolant from the radiator drain plug?

But I know for a fact that my radiator was full to the top cause I always check it when I change my oil

Anybody seen more then 2.5 quarts come out on a draining of the radiator?

You didn't get it all it's holds 10.3 or 10.4 quarts for Manual / Auto.

You forgot to loosen off the two engine drains.

 

Do you know where the coolant engine drains are located?

I would still think the radiator alone would hold more then 2.5 quarts?

 

the radiator has slots and unless you move the radiator side to side it will not get all of the coolant out

 

If you don't loosen off the engine drains to let air in it will not drain the engine also.

Maybe not the exact perfect print but it gives you a idea where they are.
