    Same crap everyone else got
Like I posted before (even with a video) it's most likely your fuel sending unit is faulty.

May of tricked it to work. We’ll see. It’s been below E for about 120 miles. I watch the gauge go up after about 3 gallons pumped.

I didn’t empty it out though. Still about 5 gallons left. Only pumped 16.5 gal.

With the plastic tank, how about thumping it with your hand. If its only filling with about 10 gal there's a good amount still in there and you may be able to feel it that way. I was under the truck tonight but don't remember how the heat shields are setup, I know you can get around the tank but this may not be the best.

Another way I've thought is after a cold morning go hold your hand along the tank and try to find where it stays cold due to the gas vs warming up in the headspace above the gas where you're just warming plastic, I would think you should be able to get a decent idea of where the level is. I can do fairly decent on propane tanks this way but metal is a lot more conductive... worth a try though.

I'm not sure how thumping the tank would affect bricks of coke. I'd think it would be inelastic like hitting a sandbag. Good luck!

Just fill the motherfucker up until it goes click, throw a full Jerry can of gas in the back, reset the trip odometer, and drive the motherfucker until it stalls and dies.

    boom

Youve said a few times that is why a "reserve" is built in. What is your source for this info?

    OME and worth every penny.
Kind of like the parachute we have behind our license plates in case we forget to use the brakes.

Nothing happens when you run out besides more cranking when you start it, this is another item I would use factory parts on.

kills me that folks believe if they run the tank to empty they "suck " up all the dirt/sediment at bottom of the tank, news flash the sediment is at the bottom and so is the pick up, full or empty the sediment and pick up is still the same. hurts nothing to run the tank to empty occasionally, fuel level is critical to keeping the pump cool, so its a good idea to fill up when you hit 1/4.

    my 2 cents

I don’t know where the burn up your pump/ never run your car out of gas myth comes from either. I’m pretty stupid and have run just about every car I have ever owned out of gas at least once. Never has any of them run appreciably differently or had any problems apart from needing a gallon of gas to get to the next station.
