Loaded this thing up in Williamsburg, Michigan and towed it back to Raleigh, NC. The Taco had no problem pulling it other than the gas mileage.

How much weight (approx.) and how bad was the mileage?

Welcome back to NC, I'm in Jacksonville.

I honestly have no idea what the weight was...Probably around 1000 lbs. Mileage was around 11 MPG.

Those things suck to pull. Probably 1000 lb empty. Did the same once while picking up a bike in Maryland. Never again. I have a much better set up now.

Yeah probably at least 1000 lbs empty, I was saying we loaded up about 1000 lbs inside. It wasn't too bad to pull...No control issues but damn did it kill the gas mileage and I pulled it over 900 miles.

    Damn, that's pretty bad mileage.

A few years back, I towed my in-law's tent trailer (a small one that weighs probably 1200#, from California to northern Washington State and back. Got an average of 18pmg in my 1st gen 4x4 dbl cab. I about fell over when I did the calcs, because I generally don't even get that with normal city driving, even empty hwy MPG is about 17-18. I grandma'd it the whole way, never went above 55-60.

Unfortunately I had to pull it through the mountains in West Virginia and Virginia so that did not help the mileage.... BTW, West Virginia is no place to be with a mouth as pretty as mine. :D
