    hahahah

Yes the text on Amazon is sometimes amazing.

Watched a few video's about CB features and such. I dont need any fancy features or changing color led displays.

    I have this: https://www.amazon.ca/Uniden-PRO520XL-40-Channel-CB-Radio/dp/B00004VXNI

It is very good for the money. I had it in my previous vehicle for commuting but haven’t gotten around to installing it in my truck yet.

You may want to consider a no ground plane antenna so you don’t fry another cb: https://radioworld.ca/fir-fg4648b

I am not all about taking tests and getting licenses.

Push button, talk. That is all I want.

That Uniden CB is 1/2 the price of the cobra I posted. Very nice.

It doesn’t have the 10 NOAA weather channels or dual watch if that matters to you.

The radio is also conveniently small, about 1-3/8 high x 4-1/2 wide x 6-3/4 long.

honestly, i haven't gotten into CBs or look at them since i learned from you guys that it's possible to fry the radios :bananadead:
but getting a handheld will allow me to chat with those on the hard mounted systems right?

besides getting a license and tests, anything i should know about HAM?

besides most here will not use it, I prefer traditional way of yelling. :drunk:
Haven’t seen people use it either when I traveled across US/Canada on my long overland trips. But if you want to play overland game go ahead. I would just get Garmin InReach if you are concerned about safety.

That's the tensioner pulley if I'm not mistaken. They say it can't be done but I did it. Had to press a sleeve into an upper idler pulley and it worked.

Just do both... Or all three. I carry GMRS in the truck at all times, have cb from before and a newly installed ham.
