    Trail Description
The Gorge trail is a stock-friendly hydro line trail located about an hour from Ottawa. The trail follows the hydro line access road making it ideal for new off-roaders and those who wish a gentle introduction to off-roading. There are many off-shoots and rock climbing opportunities that keep the trail interesting for novice and experienced drivers. All of the off-shoots return to the hydro line access road so drivers can try the obstacle or skip it without getting separated from the group.
    Cautions
This trail has been criss-crossed and re-routed by logging and a new logging road. Turn around at the end of the trail. If you proceed further you will be on private land and you will not be welcomed. Off trail swampy areas can be very deep and wide
    Trail Highlights
    Something for everyone
    User Groups
    ATV, Snowmobiles
    Terrain Type
Mix of Terrain, Mud, Open Trail, Rock, Steep Rock, Tree Cover

The jeep needs more than dirt roads to drive around on, we need rocks and hard obstacles to conquer

Dont make me post more vidjahoe spam...

F that I am doing it.

I have access to any type of trail you want to run. :fistbump:

Hydro lines that are nothing but rock faces that you can make rock crawl trails on.

I have spent hours rock crawling in this 1 area. This area is great, the rocks I am up on just keep going behind me larger and better. I should have taken the pic from behind the truck.

We should do a Manitoulin island road trip early fall before the ferry shuts down. Thats if we can find somewhere to camp, from what im hearing there aint much if any crown land. But lots of canoe spots :boink:@Joe23

there's plenty of camping spots. but they aren't crown land camp spots.

    which means $$

I know some are against paying to camp but meh. Given most places are relatively inexpensive I am fine with paying to camp, but prefer not to since they also usually have annoying rules like no big fires, no noise after 10pm, one car per site yada yada yada

But I would absolutely fucking love to do some paddling up there.
I'm actually considering going to ardbeg just to paddle one weekend.

do you need to pay for vmuts?
and any crown land around there?

I feel like it would be a candidate to plan a longer trip similar to the way Ontario Overland does.
