Yeah for some reason Toyota decided to exclude the TPMS system on MTs for 3rd gen in Canada, but keep them on ATs.

All 2nd gens had TPMS since 2005 I thought? 2005-2008 trucks even had a 5th sensor in the spare.

The TPMS is like $25 a unit and 4wparts didn't charge anything when i bought the KO2s

However if you have TPMS on another set of rims, you wont be able to freely swap back and forth as the truck can't save more than 1 set of codes...
    which is stupid...

3rd gen MTs completely lack the TPMS system. Not sure if the PCM lacks the hardware or if it's a separate computer that's completely missing.

hehe I like poking at Joe and Taylor. :cookiemonster:

I know that 85% of what I have access to are dirt roads. Still smile ear to ear while rippin on em!

It's nice to have some actual trail ratings, and they rated lots of the trails. I was impressed with how many they got rated.

Its ok if Joe thinks its all mud bogs. 666 the only 4 rated trail, is simply that. Mud bog after mud bog, and you need a winch for 2 places from videos I have seen.

This trail is rated a 3, strange looking mud.:rain:

That video shows that Joe does not know as much as he thinks he does, that looks like a 3' rock ledge to me.

Thats like main trail Minden rated as a 2 lol.

That's like maybe a 18"rock lip at the most. The beach in Ardbeg is harder lol.

Like I said Wes. By all means it's great you have all this by you.
But if you're basing 4 rated trails off what you're doing there you'll be seriously fucked when you go down a 3+like concession or black loop. Or a 4 like greens mountain when you're facing a big rock face and no way out other than going through it. Because they're way harder than those vmuts and they're giving you a false sense of confidence that you can easily do them.

In no way am I saying you're not wheeling just that if you think you're doing hard stuff when it's rather easy, but you think you can do greens mountain because it's a 4, then you'll be fucked.

Look at how much trouble Eugene had on greens on 35s.

And in no way are those not fun trails. Minden is one of the best trails for development because it has so many challenging off shoots but also a relatively easy trail so you can do what you're comfortable with.

But in no way am I running Minden thinking I can go tackle greens mountain or Anson South or Anson North.

You've said on numerous accounts that black loop is stupid to do in a Tacoma and it's just an atv trail. It's only rated a 3.
So with your logic of that little lip being a 3 you should be perfectly fine running black loop solo right? After all they're both rated as a 3.

It's easy to get stuck on a 2-rated trail. Just drive 3 ft to the left and accidentally bury your truck frame-deep in thick mud :anonymous:

I will go prerunner my dirt roads some more.:humble:

Dont worry about me being 'fucked' when it comes to off roading. I get to choose how hard I go at it, because I get to do it every..... single.................. weekend. Have not broken my rig yet. I think I am pretty good at it.

I dont have to bash my truck because I only get out twice a year to do it.:anonymous:

    Of course it's easy,
    he drives a Tacoma,
    not a Jeep. :rain:

Now that Norlisk has 35's on his Tacoma, he won't even need 4wd for Black loop, probably wouldn't even spill his Starbucks Frappachino he picked up during the practice runs in the parking lot.
Drive the whole trail in third gear and keeping his pinky up, holding that Frapachino with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles.

Since llamasmurf has smaller tires he may have to put his herbal tea in the cupholder and use 4H.

The whole trail rating system is kind of too general in my opinion.

Is it a 3 because of Mud, Rocks, Water, Hill Climb, Hill Decent etc...

Using the above criteria, my truck in it's current state I'd only do a 3,2,2,2+,3 rated trail that I'd never seen before.

I might try a level 3 rocks once I have more skid plates and experience, once the winch is on the truck I may try a level 4 mud...

There are some level 1 trails I won't do cause of brush that will scratch the shit outa my truck...

I'm in favour of what the jeeps have.

Lets just all get badges for what trails we complete.
    jeepbadgeofhonor.jpg
That way, we can size up with what trails we have done, and haven't done and stop bitching about ratings. :cookiemonster:

the badges need to be Velcro patches since that's a "Tacoma" thing.
and so i can continue adding it to my tonneau cover of patches
