Be safe.... @Sloweburn had a pretty bad experience. Think a broken hand and some stitches if I recall.

Oh cool, Toyota uses lots of small belts to make up their serpentine belts!2DAD06F3-4811-4F0F-A97B-FF05096DD003.jpg

On the truck method is the safest and easiest way to do it. Unless u have an actual proper spring compressor

Been busy lately, now all of the sudden has come to a halt with this Coved bullshit. Truck is getting an exhaust overhaul in the next week to hopefully get rid of my p0420 code once and for all, and not be loud as fuck on the highway. Next weekend or the weekend after I’ll be saying bye bye to the stepside box and topper, and hello to a regular bed and high top topper. The truck is going to look like the first gen in the TW banner on the top of the page...:D

In the future hoping to upgrade the front suspension too and slowly replace every component, maybe upgrade UCAs and LCAs too. Mid travel? Long travel? Who knows, I’m fucking broke right now so we will see.

Hope everyone is doing well with all this craziness. Still waiting to see if I’ll be able to head out to Alberta for work. So far we’ve been pushed back two weeks now but who knows, this whole summer could be a write off  I just wanna get back out to the mountains and forget about this stupid virus and all the bullshit that’s happened lately.

Today I learned this the hard way
hear is a pic of weeks ago using an Amazon spring compressor
worked awesome and did not have any fear using it
used it multiple times as i was also experimenting with spacers

Barely hanging on, surviving off beer and ramen right now ...

Hopefully more truck stuff and posts from me in the future. The ol’ taco has seen some neglect lately because of school and whatnot. Hoping to build a bed sleeping system once I get the new bed on.

Today I decided to install the springs I got from 4WP and I drop the nut
I get it, get my adjustable to hold the flat on the shock start to turn the nut and
everything goes flying including my self. I am so lucky I was standing behind and not in front or side

so finished doing this job with the one the truck method. I will never, Never NEVER. use another Amazon spring compressor.
    Dam that was close.

I doubt I’ll be back in Hamilton for a long while. I was going to come back to see my girlfriend but that fell through as of last week when she decided she didn’t want to be my girlfriend anymore  such is life.

I’m just enjoying my time off and time to myself right now. Getting things buttoned up with school (if you can even call online university ‘school’..) and getting the truck ready for if I do get out to Alberta.

I should be back in Hamilton at least in the fall. We should all meet up, maybe I’ll drive my truck down. Or at the very least just fly down and steal my dad’s

So the advertised 3-ton capacity was a lie? Here I was theorizing about using it as a poor man's ARB hydraulic high-lift...

I'm about to bolt up my passenger side slider now. I put up the driver side before winter and then the weather got too cold so decided to wait.
    Tomorrow is rear bumper day.
I need to find a good light bar for the prinsu rack. Don't want to spend Baja designs money but also don't want crap. Any ideas people?
