@tacoma16 On the plus side, you’ve made great progress this morning. I’ve hardly managed to get my kids dressed by 10am today!

It was yesterday.....lol I’m having a slow morning after trying to wrestle that out yesterday evening. Pros and cons of working from home, the travel time from my “office” to the garage is really quick.

Fair assumption. Came out pretty good though. 2 hours from start to finish to remove.

The rear pinion has some movement And is leaking so I removed it to bring it to the shop. Don’t know if the crushwashers let go or what but I’m not messing with bearing preload. Easier and cheaper in the long run to go this route. Plus I can also do the add delete. However the add delete can be done on the truck.

Remember that rear pinion movement and leak. Getting that checked out. The regear and locker only has 20k on it so for the money that’s in the diff I’m not risking it blowing up lol.

This is why Relentless cuts its logo on the side of its bumper, so the light can shine thru:

It’s funny about truck caps, they’re expensive to buy, but hard to sell, in my experience. I’ve owned a lot of trucks over the years, with and without truck caps, and unless you have a very specific need for one that can justify the cost of a good one, you’re better off with a tonneau. I’ve bought trucks and dragged the cap out to the side of the road to sell until eventually after a few weeks my wife objected that it was bringing down the property values in the neighbourhood.

My last truck had a contractor's cap on it. Was real useful but heavy.

Got lucky when I bought it as it was only $500.00 from one of the local wreckers.
Was even luckier that is was from another electrical companies truck that got wrecked,
so was already fitted out with all the labeled bins, wire racks etc.

I sold it with the other truck, made it harder to sell though.

Only other time I had a cap, I had no problems getting rid of it...
Just went around a corner a little too fast one day...
Heard a big boom in the back, and then this awful racket...
Hit the brakes... and watched my cap pass me on the left, and go sailing into the ditch. :anonymous:

Been looking at rear shocks and wondering if it would be better to go standard 5100s 14"-22" travel shocks or go with the 5125 15"-24" travel shocks Im doing a 2 inch lift, 3 leaf aal and don't know if its better to do one or the other for only a 5$ price difference.

I am lifting with a Dakar med leaf pack and bought the 5125 for my new truck, that being said I ran 5100’s on my 2nd gen with the same leaf pack and thought it was fine. Never had any flex related issues due to the shock limiting how far it would go which was still pretty far. Hope that helps man!

Yeah they are strange rubber boot is at the bottom. Once my coils are assembled I’ll get the lift in and see how they are.
