If he didn't have such small tires he would have just gone right over... Should get those Skoda tires upsized...

He's so sadistic, gives us all this little hint pic then hides...

Hopefully is was just a loose oil filter housing dripping oil after he didn't tighten it enough with his Vodka soaked hands....

Little twist, little oil, wipe it down with toothpaste and back to the trails.... :fingerscrossed:

Probably the only ones who've ever been in one let alone heard about them.

The old air cooled engines in those ran like crap but they would always run. After they had stopped being sold in Canada we used to buy them when we were teenagers and take them out the the quarries and beat them past any recognition of a vehicle...

Then I was in the eastern block and saw the same models that were in Canada still being driven there,,,
lol more patches and rust but still rattling and chugging their way around being driven like rally cars in the city streets.
Was even in a Manufacturing plant where they were making the "modern" ones.
Since they were owned by VW ,the plant was more modern than you would think, but things like open toe sandels being worn by the workers on the line, no safety glasses or guards etc, reminds you that you are in a Russian country.

Oh rofl I remember those.... funny thing is the ones brought into North America were the "luxury" versions of the rattle traps....

The guy who brought those the North America (Malcom Bricklen) was the same guy that started the Bricklen car company.
(Small world, my father was VP of Engineering for Bricklen car company)

The Yugos were supposed to be the cheapest car, and holy crap did they rattle... no balls either lol I think it was something like 40 horses... made those early Ladas seem like caddies

up by Bancroft area, that spot specifically is another hour drive north of the town and another half hour drive up the mountain side :D

Super whiter looks great with dirt on it
but then again any Tacoma with mud on it looks good

As someone who wheeled with jeeps over the weekend, i agree with this statement.
they can do shit we can't or at least it's harder for us on stock suspension as where they are on 2-4 inch lift and 35s
    :anonymous:
@ODSC1 can explain the mud we went through

Your old man worked in NB? Bricklen was a visionary for certain...he just didn't learn fast enough that if your supplier is your competition, your not in a position to compete.

He took CDN taxpayer money and ran

Lol not all the assembly was done in NB.

They didn't have the cash to really setup a proper assembly plant, so some of it was also assembled in Michgan and then shipped the NB for finishing.
Most of the initial capital was gone from designing and testing the car. Lol so actually making the things was a bit of a logistics issue. And Malcam was bleeding cash with all the advertising and promotions and certifications.
We have pics of the original assembly lines, crash testing, plaques from the international debut, memos, tech specs etc, My dad had one of the "Chairman" ones.
They were going to have the regional Bricklen meetup this summer at the Ancaster fair grounds as part of one of the other Auto shows, was hoping to take my dad to that as he'd get a kick out of it as he's 88 now.
If they cancel it this year, hopefully they move it to next year in the same area.

I'm actually shocked at how cheap they are... plus there seems to be quite a fan base keeping parts and cars going.

If I had more garage space I'd get one.
