I know where one of these zukis is for sale. From a drive by, looks like a nice specimen

One thing I've never seen out there is a set of bolt on "rock sliders" for the area behind the rear tires for people that don't want to go the hc bumper route....

C-channel bolted to the frame going to gusseted square tube then to round tube bent to shape that sticks out past the widest point in the fender by 1- 1.5"

What do you think your guys could pencil up for something like that....

is it a totaled one hit in the side?

Jeep GalDiAtoR done it, but it's not worth it on our trucks with the already low designed bumper and how far wheels moved away from the bumper , high clearance is the way to go:sawzall::welder:

The frame sweeps up in front of the axle and doesn't come back down. There's no frame structure in that area to support a quarter-panel slider.

Something can probably be fabricated that ties together the shackle hanger and tow hitch, but the whole contraption would hang low and scrape everywhere.

Did your lights fit easily into the squares in the bumper? I have the same bumper and bought the lights. They don't seem to align correctly with the opening in the bumper. It appears that I may need to take the flush-mounted plate off and then re-install from the inside of the bumper...

Well I don't mind scraping things that I can touch up with a brush and some tremclad.

Would love to go hc but want to be able to bring my truck back to stock if I ever want to move parts to a new vehicle... always keeping those options open.

Right now my backside is so fragile, lol...

One wrong rock/tree/log/etc etc gonna make a mess.

Not to mention all the 'Tards that like to park by feel....

Plastic bumper crap is disappearing soon ... steel going on,
retaining the stock hitch, so now the weak spot is those rear quarters for bottom and side impacts.

I'll have to eyeball under there see if I can come up with some ideas before the wife gets me renovating the kitchen...

Soon the lineups at the hardware stores will be gone and my excuses will be over... :anonymous: :censored:

I thought you felt 2017 was the apex of Taco evolution? :p Why would you move the parts to another 3rd gen?

    Lol,

Well I agree with you that the 17 is the Apex,

There is always the "shit happens" and the "hey watch this" factors to take into consideration.

Lol it takes longer to collect all the parts, than it does to get another 3rd gen.

Took me 2 weeks to get the truck,
over 2 years and I'm not done collecting parts for the truck....

My bumper wraps around the quarter panels to protect the bed sides. I cut off the support that went to the frame attachment, so I wouldn't have to cut the quarters.
Works well enough for what I do...

I sold it a few years back. I think it was 12" deep and mounted to the bed rail sliders. I think I got it at Home Depot or Lowes... Can't remember the brand.

Lol I spy the Kobalt logo on the box, which means it came from Lowes.
