Sweet bike! Duratracs were a great choice for the Taco.

But what did you buy that came in the red box? Asking for a friend :anonymous:

3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
I picked up a set of stock tires and rims a couple years ago. Was going to put them on for daily driving.

Installed them, put the truck down, stood back and took a good look at the truck with the Timbits on it...

Promptly put the 33's back on and sold the stock tires....

No mud flaps, and a cool sticker.

I'm getting the impression my idea is dumb and i should just make the leap to 33's. I guess its time to start looking at required supporting mods then!

Go straight 33's if you don't think you will go 35, otherwise go to 35. It will cost less.

35's wont happen for the foreseeable future.

The peer pressure in this forum is brutal. I like it.

Swapping tires back and forth sucks. From a few of us who have done it, that shit gets old fast. I had my swappver down to 45 mins, but still not worth the effort for “some” extra traction.

Back in 2009 I had 31x10.5 BFG AT and 32x9.5 SuperSwampers for my ‘89 4Runner. Swampers were cool to look at, but bias ply, and deafeningly loud above 70km/h.
I swapped back and forth for 2 years, basically running swampers unless I was hitting up a 400 series highway. Well, all the good trails are a highway ride away, and fuck hauling 4 extra tires to a trail. Bought a set of 31x10.5 duratracs and never swapped back. Duratracs can handle any terrain a mostly stock (t-bar crank & Lincoln locker) truck can throw at them.

10-years later, still running Duratracs on two different trucks at the same time. One flat tire from a spiral nail in that entire time.

I use them On the Taco cause they’re extreme winter rated.
On the 4Runner, cause she lives in the gravel and No Winter Maintenance roads.
No complaints. Only have to unbolt them to rotate at oil changes. Win-win-win I figure.

Sure a Mud Terrain would displace more earth, but the life span on these Duras is (advertised) significantly longer, and tread is quieter. Currently have 85,000km on taco tires, due for a new set before winter.

Our advice, pick ONE tire and size, suffer through +10% fuel consumption knowing your Taco is down for any track that fancies your eye. And if you get stuck, prolly user error ;). Call us CUNTS for backup. If all goes well, you’d better snap a pic or it didn’t happen.

Peer pressure? I just want to be cool.
After I get 35's I'm asking Sandy to the school dance. I dont care what her boyfriend Danny says. Were gonna enter the dance contest and after were gonna watch the submarine races.

@Tridet167 runs the exact same size as well. We both love them. I am so happy with them as my 1st set of tires I purchased. Could'nt be happier. I'd recommend them to anyone.

loved my cooper tires. Couldn’t fork out the extra mulla to get them in 35’s. Was like $100 more per tire compared to the ko2’s

I think Coopers will be the choice as the vast majority of my kms will be over 400 series...
