No. Signal is worse. Stock 31" antenna is called "1/4 wave". If you want good reception, stick with OEM length or go to 15-16". The "roof-feeler" length is somewhere in between.

What's everyone doing this weekend? Someone from true north Tacoma on FB messaged me asking if we're going out again. Anyone down to go? Maybe do some more trail scouting?

It was a great run dood...real good trails, nothing terribly challenging but imho it's clearly worth it for the sheer acreage. The terrain is decidedly different on different trails...packed sand, to rutted runoff to some decent river rock climbs. It's not stressful by any means, rather a really cool drive thru the woods that just keeps on going. We were out there for close to 6 hrs and still didn't cover all the trails.

@tacoma16 did you log total kms on your GPS?

It was definitely nice and would be great in October with the changing colours.

Definitely an easy trail, did most of it in 2wd, mainly only went into 4lo for the hills going down so I didn't need to ride the brakes.
Other spots were fine for 4hi.

I'd love to do it again. Only problem I found was no real off shoots for driver development. One of the reasons Ardbeg is so great is its pretty much all stock friendly and relatively easy to do a lot of the loop eugene and I did. But there's plenty of off shoots. Minden is great too but there are a few spots with no bypass where I was all skid and sliders. So not entirely stock friendly and when we went the water crossings were deep.

Hoggsback was short and tight, but we only did a portion of it. Really want to check out the other parts of it.

Will defintiely go to the forest again though, great place just to get 4x4 km in haha. I was in 4hi a few times just cause its easy to get the 20km in a month then.

Also good to gauge interest though for the other guys. Most of minden is possible stock. We did half the trail and from what Dan told us when we were there that after the half way point we've passed all the hard spots that have no bypass. Armour is definitely a good idea though.
