i can only say you're half way there
    :rasta:

anyways, good luck on the vibrations. i need to check in with the stealership and see if i can get my hands on a tech to look into my rear diff. I have a persistent light grinding noise coming from the rear and i assume it's the tail shaft bearing that goes into the rear diff..

I have a similar sound ever since I got the truck. Stealership superguy said it's normal....

In theory the CB drop should be helping IF vibes relates to rear pinion angle.
BUT it adds more angle at the front prop shaft which can introduce vibes also on the Tacoma.
From what I read the CB drop helps for fine tuning but if it's a major angle then you have to drop it too far, it introduces front prop vibes.

Since you tried adding more CB drop and it did not seem to change anything,
might as well try without it and see what happens.... might be informative to see where the vibration changes to...
without looking at what your angles are, and since acceleration seems to decrease vibes,
I would look at increasing your axle shim angle another 2 deg. (but am open to challenges from people with more experience).
(if vibes happens on deceleration then it's too much angle).

Also I've heard that the front and rear prop shafts are balanced together, so if you pull the rear prop shaft right out you have to put it in the same orientation with the front shaft. (no idea if that's true though.... )

From what I am seeing the angle your rear diff is sitting is different from mine, mine angled and not sitting like that.

I've seen this truck somewhere. This somewhere being the exact place the picture was taken.

My pinion is looking up because of 3 degree shims on the axle. ( did them with Naz on saturday )

Removed the CB drop entirely and... up till 80km/h I can't tell if there's any vibes. Can sense it around 100km/h
    I think it's a move towards a solution.
Anyways, will try and put some of you peoples in on sunday...

Bumped into this, it's a pretty comprehensive list (don't think it's all of them, but certainly a bunch i've not seen yet) of the available roof racks for the Tacomas.. WITH IMAGES.
    https://trail tacoma.com/2020/04/06/2nd-3rd-gen-tacoma-roof-rack-options/
(note; delete space between "trail" and "tacoma")

Then stop by for lunch next time you're there, i'm just around the corner.
