Skinny winters General Altimax Arctic 245/70/17. Great winter tires. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a dedicated winter setup

And how many times have you left any of your trucks stock?

You're parents probably caught you trying to put bigger tires on your stroller...

BTW we found your old tricycle...

We know you'll eventually find your happy tire/truck ratio....

I am polishing my credit card for this week.
    Its gonna slide like crazy

Did a test on the suspension with measuring tape. Now I understand why I had a leaning feeling while driving.

Front passenger shock sits 1" higher and others. That adds to the rare collapse on the rear driver side. Well maybe makes sense now, when one side goes up, the other side must come down. Lol

Oil level below minimum, that's not so great either.

Minimum height to the mud guards is 33", max height 37". Not too shabby

Cool. Shouldn't change much with 2020+ trucks (where Toyota moved the antenna forward a bit).

That’s what I been told long long time ago to go skinny in the winter ‘fat’ in the summer. They cut better through the snow they said. The only proof to that theory I see is rally cars always run ‘donuts’ in the winter stages.

    and they’re cheaper too:D

Agreed! Only time a fatter tire is better in winter, is when you’re trying to achieve floatation over very deep snow. Think Arctic truck.
Some physics to accompany your keen Rally observations.

Since a skinny tire has a smaller contact area on the road, and Pressure = Force / Area, you’re effectively increasing the Pressure on the surface at any point in time.

Cool upside to skinny tires, as one airs down, the tread pattern grows longer as opposed to bulging outwards. Allows for wrapping over obstacles. Think tracks on a tank, very long contact patch on the ground. Back to tires, these skinny benefits are negated if you’re in very soft or very deep terrain where floatation is preferred.

I think I would measure all 4 corners with the system down. then do any adjustments to make all 4 corners equal( meaning what ever bumpstops are there they should be equal height) and id pick some place else than the fender as the body can get tweeked or moved dented ect. in the video the guy is talking in 1/4 " and less. then go fully up then measure again. To me that would tell you if there is a fluid/shock problem on any side.

could be the front passenger is correct and the others are low.?? IDK just guessing at things

My dedicated winter tire is Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 in 245/75-16. It's a great ice and snow tire. Think I got them from Costco.

My night wheeling last night, highlighted an area of trail that needs some love.

Went out today to give it a good dry humping.

Ran outa steam before I even finished 100m. Thats what happens when you are doing it solo.:militarypress:

Tomorrow Jeremiah wants to go out and do some, so we will get the entire section done I hope.:bananadance:

Had to do some wheeling after I was exhausted and could not lift my arms anymore....:cookiemonster:
